Marcela Fiorillo performs L.V. Beethoven – Klaviersonate op.57, in F Minor, “Appassionata”
Ludwig van Beethoven
1770 - 2020
250th. Anniversary Celebration
Closing my homage to his extraordinary legacy:
Klaviersonate op. 57, " Appassionata" live recording at LA USINA DEL ARTE - 2017 Buenos Aires - ARGENTINA
"Every great age has its child of God, its archetype of humanity.
His look, his gesture and his verb are the common property of millions of living beings.
Beethoven's total being - his sensitivity, his concept of the world,
the form of his intelligence and his will,
his laws of construction, his ideology, as well as the very substance of his temperament-, is representative of an era.
He is not the shepherd who leads to his flock.
He is the father who marches at the head of his race...
Describing him, I describe our century, our dreams, ourselves...
...the joy of the sorrow, of the battle, of the pain overcome,
the victory over oneself, the conquered fate...
And the great bull with a fierce gaze, his forehead high,
from the top, at the edge of the abyss,
throws its roar above Time ..."
( Romain Rolland “Beethoven - From the Eroica to the Appassionata” )
Describiéndolo a él, describo nuestro siglo, nuestros sueños, a nosotros mismos...
( Romain Rolland – “Beethoven. De la Heroica a la Appassionata")
