Standing ovation !
Her recital drew conclusively on all of those qualities in a thoughtfully constructed program, which included the world premiere of her own composition, commissioned by the Weereewa Festival Committee, “ Suite Weereewa,Op 3”. The sustained standing ovation was testament to its consummate success.

Spiritual: Marcela Fiorillo’s playing was vibrant and evocative!
… Fiorillo demonstrated that despite her slight build, she is technically capable of mastering the demanding physicality of these scores, which is necessary to unlock the musical meaning.
The most important event of the evening was the premiere of Fiorillo’s Suite Weereewa op.3. Fiorillo has created a work that will live on.

Haunting power in peace performance !
Fiorillo brought characteristic intensity to her interpretation of the Nocturne. The final chord shimmered with a delicate strength. Evocative: Marcela Fiorillo’s performance in Quartet for the End of Time emphasized underpinning descending sequences of piano chords.
